Technology Demonstration

You can see a demonstration of the course capture technology here. When you buy the class, you will receive DVD-ROM data discs with the entire course on them. While you can view the courses online, if you do not have a fast broadband connection you can view the course directly from the discs without waiting for a large download, and indeed without being online at all.

This is a short demonstration of what the course captures are like.

Short Demonstration (3:38)

Actual Course Section

By clicking on the link below, you can see a presentation from the class. In this presentation, your instructor answers the question, "What is Six Sigma?" and discusses the context within which Six Sigma operates.

When you click on the link, your browser will begin to preload the presentation. The section will start once a portion is downloaded - you will not have to download the entire presentation to begin viewing it. It is a high-quality file, so we recommend that you have a fast broadband connection before attempting to view this. Remember, you purchase the entire course on disc, so you do not have to have broadband to take the course.

About Six Sigma Online

Six Sigma Online is your source for The ROI Alliance’s Six Sigma Black Belt training on-disc.  Our course is the finest combination of skills you will need to run a team effectively from problem definition to successful completion.

Dr. Jeffrey Luftig

These materials are derived from materials created by Dr. Jeffrey Luftig, one of the first people Dr. W. Edwards Deming hired to begin the American quality revolution at Ford Motor Company in the early 80's. Dr. Luftig started his own consulting firm in 1985 and consulted at numerous companies including Ford, ALCOA, Anheuser-Busch, Earthgrains, Molex, Inland Steel, and many others. During this time, Dr. Luftig and his consultants honed the materials to provide their clients training that had real-life applications with a strong technical base. He has held the W. Edwards Deming Professor of Management endowed chair at the Engineering Management Program at the University of Colorado and is now the Associate Vice Chancellor for Process Innovation.

Steven Ouellette

Your instructor is Steven Ouellette, BSMT, MSEng, and president of The ROI Alliance, LLC. He has been in the process design and improvement since 1992, both as an engineer and later as a consultant working for Dr. Luftig in many different industries. He received a Black Belt from Motorola University and a Master Black Belt from Luftig & Warren International. In addition to his duties as President of The ROI Alliance, he is a professor and Lead Consultant for the Office for Performance Improvement at the University of Colorado, and serves on the Orion Registrar Committee to Safeguard Impartiality. He has a real talent for making what can seem obscure easy to understand, and for showing his students the real-life applications of these tools.
